LeadSnap collects the following information to provide and improve its services:
- Camera and Photos: The App requires access to your device’s camera and photo gallery to capture and process images of business cards.
- Location Data: With your explicit permission, the App may collect your device’s location when you scan a card to attach a “Scan Location” to the contact record.
- Contact Information: When you manually enter data or scan a card, the App processes and stores personal and professional details such as names, job titles, companies, email addresses, phone numbers, social media handles, and physical addresses.
- User Profile Data: The App stores the data you enter for your own “My Card” profile, including your avatar, logo, name, role, contact details, and theme preferences.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- Contact Extraction: To process images of business cards using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to automatically extract text and contact details.
- Digital Rolodex: To store, organize, and display your scanned and manually entered contacts within the App (“Vault”).
- Digital Business Card: To generate and display your personal digital business card based on the information you provide.
- Feature Functionality: To enable features such as call initiation, email drafting, navigation to addresses, and opening social media profiles directly from the App.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: The primary database for your contacts and profile data is stored locally on your device for fast access and offline capability.
- Third-Party AI Processing: When you scan a business card, the image is securely transmitted to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) for the sole purpose of extracting text and contact information. The image and extracted data are then returned to the App.
- Data Retention: Data stored locally on your device remains until you choose to delete it or uninstall the App.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information or the contact information you store in the App. Information is only shared in the following specific circumstances:
- With AI Service Providers: As mentioned above, images of business cards are temporarily shared with our AI service provider (Google Gemini) exclusively for data extraction purposes.
- When You Choose to Share: The App includes functionality allowing you to share your digital business card or contact details with others via your device’s native sharing capabilities (e.g., email, SMS, QR code).
5. Your Choices
- Permissions: You can control the App’s access to your camera, photos, and location through your device’s operating system settings. Revoking permissions may limit certain functionalities of the App.
- Data Deletion: You can delete individual contacts or your entire profile directly within the App. Uninstalling the App will also remove all locally stored data.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
