Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Are my photos uploaded to your servers? Absolutely not. Flick operates 100% locally on your device. We do not require an internet connection to sort your photos, and we never view, upload, or sell your personal gallery data. Your privacy is our highest priority.

2. Are photos permanently deleted immediately? No. When you swipe left, photos are moved into an internal “Trash” queue. They are only permanently deleted from your device when you navigate to the Trash page and explicitly confirm the deletion.

3. Does deleting a photo in Flick delete it from iCloud? Yes. Because Flick connects directly to your native iOS/Android photo library, confirming a permanent deletion in Flick will also delete the photo from your synced iCloud or Google Photos account (depending on your device’s native sync settings).

4. I accidentally deleted an image! Can I recover it? Once you confirm deletion from the Trash queue in Flick, the photo is handed off to your device’s operating system. On iOS, you can usually recover these photos for up to 30 days by opening the default Apple “Photos” app, scrolling down to “Recently Deleted,” and restoring them from there.

5. How are Streaks and XP calculated? Flick calculates your daily streaks and Experience Points locally based on the number of photos you sort. Because data is stored securely on your device for privacy reasons, deleting the app will result in the loss of your streak and XP.
